Wanted Ads

Written by Trade Me staff at 8:43am, Tue 21 Oct 2003

From 1 November, you will no longer be able to list Wanted Ads on Trade Me. Less than 0.5% of listings placed on Trade Me are Wanted Ads and we believe it is of greater value for us to focus our technology efforts on continued improvement to our Auctions and Buy Now listings.

Wanted Ads placed before November 1 will expire once they have seen out their listing time. You will not be able to re-list Wanted Ads after 1 November.

We recommend traders wanting to buy items subscribe to the relevant category within Trade Me. This will ensure you are sent regular emails of new category listings.

Site improvements

You can now choose the time and day that your auction closes. When listing your auction you will now have the option to select the time and day you want your auction to close - this feature costs 95 cents. Note that the maximum listing length will still be 10 days.

We have also made some changes to the relist feature. At the end of your auction you can now select to "relist the same item" or to "list a completely new item". This will avoid confusion if selling more than 1 identical item.
