To avoid buying the wrong size, please measure twice and install once!

Keep in mind when measuring for your Shade sail you make allowances for your installation requirements such as Turnbuckles and/or Dee Shackles.

Returns

Should you need to return your Shade Sail, we will email our Return Form for you to complete. This Return Form is to be placed with the shade sail prior to re packing. However, if the return is deemed as an error on our behalf we will gladly send you a Return Postage Label to place onto the return Shade Sail packaging. Please ensure safe & suitable packaging is used.

Exchanges

We are happy to exchange your shade sail if you have chosen the incorrect size or colour. Return postage to Australia is to be paid by you the purchaser and is not refundable by us.

The Exchange Shade Sail delivery will also have postage costs attached as FREE shipping is only offered the original purchase. Shipping costs are calculated on weight and size of the exchanged shade sail. Please avoid any disappointment and double-check your measurements prior to purchasing.

Refunds or Exchanges

We refund your returned Shade Sail as long as the shade sail is in brand new condition and with 30 days of purchasing. Shade Sails will be inspected upon return to our warehouse. Please note Returns are to Australia and Return postage is payable by you the purchaser. We are unable to refund postage paid to any third parties.

Faulty Items - NZ Customers

In the unlikely event that you receive your item/s and it has a fault, please report this to us within 14 days of receiving the item/s. We may ask you to send photos of the faulty item/s to mailto:customerservice@theoutdoorshop.com.au so we can quickly fix up any problems. All faulty items must be returned to The Outdoor Shop Australia Pty Ltd before we send out a replacement. Best efforts will be made to replace your item/s like for like. However if we are out of stock of the item you originally purchased, alternate sizes/ colours will be offered in exchange of the original product or refund. DID YOU KNOW…

Measurements are taken from buckle to buckle when the shade sail is laid flat on the ground.

You need to allow extra room for your shade sail to be tensioned with accessories such as Turnbuckles/Dee Shackles to achieve your desired look.

All shade sails are manufactured with curvature on the sides to assist with tension, a sagging shade sail is memorable for all the wrong reasons.

FAQ’s…

Do my fixing points need to be installed before I order?

No, for Pre-Made Shade Sails it’s best to dig for your posts after you’ve received the shade sail. Lay it out flat on the ground to determine where to place your poles/post and fixing points.

How do I work out the correct size shade sail to buy?

Measure the area you would like to cover. Below are the turnbuckle measurements

6mm turnbuckles 160-210mm (small shade sails) 8mm turnbuckles 210-290mm (small to medium shade sails) 10mm turnbuckles 255-360mm (large shade sail 5x6m plus)

Remember Wire Cable & Chain can help you achieve more distance too.

You can also tension with rope if you don’t have enough room for turnbuckles.

How do I search for my size?

Two ways to search, enter your shape eg: triangle, rectangle, square, right angle OR your lengths in meters eg: 3x3x3m, 2x4m, 5.5x5.5m, 3x5x5.8m

What is the warranty for Pre-Made Shade Sail?

Our Shady Lady Shade Sails come with 2 Years Manufacturing Warranty under normal weather conditions.

Along with a 5 Year UV Life Span. We strongly advice to remove your shade sail prior to storms & hail.

How do I work out where the sun will shine?

Rope lines can be used prior to ordering to assist you with determining your sun/shade lines throughout the day.

Do triangle shade sails cover the same area as a four sided shade sails?

No, triangles have curvature for tension allowances that can reduce the amount of shade, so make sure you angle the shade sail in the direction the sun falls.

Do you sell Right Angle Shade Sails?

Can I just buy an installation pack?

Yes, we manufacture Custom Made Shade Sails to your exact measurements. With 10 Year Warranty or 15 Year Warranty along with a huge range of colours for you to choose from. Custom Made Shade Sails can be made with Cable Perimeters and Rope Track. Just send us your measurements from fixing point to fixing point.
