Our Payment Terms:

We will send you an email straight after the auction has completed with the payment details and instructions.

Your full payment must be made prior to delivery and up to a maximum of 3 days after the auction has closed (unless a prior arrangement has been made with us).

Our Payment Options:

Our preference is for you to make any payment by using a Bank Deposit with Internet Banking.

Could you please use the AUCTION NUMBER as your banking reference and also as a reference in any correspondence you have with us.

It can take up to 48 hours for your transferred funds to clear. We will send the purchased items to you as soon as your payment has appeared in our bank account.

Please note that any payments you have made over a weekend may not show in our bank account until the following Tuesday morning.

Public holidays may also add an extra working day to this process.

Our Lay-by Service:

Please make sure this is arranged before you do any bidding.

We know that times are tough and sometimes you can't always afford what you need, even the small items can sometimes be a challenge.

At Rare Spares NZ we understand this and are more than happy to offer you the ability to secure your vehicle parts and pay for them as and when you can afford it. Lay-by is available on most items, but always at our discretion.

Please check what shipping options and costs are available on the auction. Parts will not be shipped until your payment has been fully received.

The majority of our smaller items are shipped in most cases using overnight couriers. We are currently using the following freight providers – Post Haste & Fastway Couriers.

Larger and or heavier vehicle parts are shipped by Truck using Mainfreight, custom quotes are needed as depending on size, weight and where items are being shipped to.

Delivery to rural addresses and remote areas can also add additional cost to the delivery price quoted and customers who live in these regions need to be aware their delivery times may be longer.

Please open and inspect all parcels before signing for the freight or courier delivery.

In some auctions we offer the right of return especially when an item is such that it cannot be adequately described or visualised using the Trade Me listing.

This will only apply where stated or by specific arrangement with you at the time.

We do not accept returns simply because you have changed your mind or because the item was not what you thought it was or what you expected it to be.

With any warranty or return situation we comply with all the relevant New Zealand Consumer laws.

All goods, unless stated otherwise, are warrantied to fulfil the specifications listed in our adverts, and to perform the tasks for which they are intended.

All of our parts are sold with a specified warranty period. This will vary depending on the part purchased.

We must be immediately notified if any part is found to be defective.

We inspect all returned parts. If a part is found to be defective due to improper installation or misuse the warranty will be void.

Because many of the parts we sell are second hand we expect you to appreciate there is a small possibility that a part could be faulty. We minimize this risk for you by testing and in some cases, rebuilding the parts wherever practical before or after removing the part from a vehicle, also by careful inspection and quality control.

If you have a problem please contact us immediately and we will handle the situation from there. We will either repair, replace or refund a part, always at our discretion.
