Wayne has been in the Paint industry for many years. Starting behind the counter in 1989 he then moved into running his own successful business as a Painter Decorator. With experience on both sides of a paint brush Wayne is able to offer expert advice on the best products for your job no matter how big or small.

Our company Astra Paints are Distributors for theses Ranges: CCM, Pitakote, Roofrite and Selleys Pointworks.

CCM is a range of Quality Decorative products which is locally made by a family owned company.

Pitakote is a High Build Epoxy used on floors and Swimming Pools

Roofrite: A very popular paint in NZ. When the last manufacture close, CCM in Auckland brough the formulas for Roofrite and employed their Chemist, meaning everything remains the same.

Commercial Coating Manufacturers are a Kiwi family owned and operated water based acrylic coating manufacturing company. CCM was founded on the 4th of May 2010 by Robert Counsell.

CCM contract manufacturers for many NZ businesses and over the years has created great brands such and Novepoxy Fence Finish and Rust Con.

Where ever possible CCM utilize New Zealand based supply of raw material as a company policy. CCM uses NZ made raw materials in our coating products, and we believe makes CCM one of the most environmentally friendly paint manufacturers in NZ. This policy cuts down on CCM’s coatings carbon foot print, as freight in the form of raw materials are not being transported half way around the world. This policy also helps to employ Kiwi’s at home and grow our economy.

Our technical staff has over 40 years of experience in the coatings industry formulating everything from acrylic paint to epoxy pool coatings to light weight fillers. We are now specializing in Low and No V.O.C. (Volatile Organic Compound) coatings for use in the retail and industrial sectors.
