We are proud to announce we are seeking a new Senior Security Supervisor to Lead, Grow and Develop our team of dedicated professionals at Ports of Auckland.
This role is a fixed term opportunity, immediate start till 31st August 2024.
About the Role:
You will be utilizing your 5+ years experience in the Security industry to manage the day-to-day operations on site at POAL.
In this role, you will be accountable for staff management, site specific training and inductions and onsite leadership of you team.
Everyday can be different, with unique challenges supporting your team across the site through communication and customer service.
This is a hands-on role, where you will lead from the front supporting your team. You will engage with your team daily to enhance the culture within the site.
You will confidently complete administrative tasks using Office 365
Your team are responsible for monitoring CCTV systems, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents with professionalism and efficiency.
With a focus on customer service, you'll engage with clients, contractors and visitors on site, offering assistance and a reassuring presence.
About you:
*Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in either security, access or CCTV monitoring is preferred. Be computer literate and familiar with MS Office suite.
*Fitness: You will enjoy being on your feet throughout the day and be of strong physical condition to perform regular patrols. Passing a Pre-employment medical will ensure your safety.
*Quick & Sound Decision-Making Skills: The ability to make rapid yet informed decisions in high-pressure situations is crucial.
*Community Engagement: Engage with the diverse and inclusive cliental passing through our gates.
*Relationship Building: Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, including clients, employees, and law enforcement, to maintain a safe and secure environment.
*Communication Skills: Due to the fast-paced nature, and wide range of cliental, your English written, and verbal communication skills will be tested daily.
*Excellent Presentation As the face of our Port, your presentation will be of the highest standard.
*Qualifications: Must hold, or be able to obtain a COA, pass a Ministry of Justice Check and hold a Full Drivers License.
In return:
*Starting Rate: $33 per hour.
*Shifts: Day 0700 to 1600 Monday to Friday.
*Flexibility: On occasion, weekend or extended hours maybe required due to enhanced security requirements or team coverage.
*Training: Comprehensive training and a supportive team environment.
*Licenses: Support in securing your COA. You must have a clean MOJ and have a Full Drivers License. *
*Work Hours: Fixed Term, Full time hours, 40 – 60 hours per week.
*Pay Cycle: Weekly pay
*Parking: Free Parking onsite
