Operations Supervisor – Eastern BOP

FIRST Security is currently seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for our Whakatane Office.
FIRST Security Guard Services is a proud member of the Wilson Security Group. Wilson Security is one of Australasia's largest and most experienced Security organisations specialising in all aspects of Security Services.

We are looking for a proven leader in security with experience managing a diverse workforce spread across multiple sites throughout the eastern Bay of Plenty region. You will work closely with the team to ensure our guard force is living our values and maintaining the highest standards in what is a very unique operating environment.

This role includes (but is not limited to):
  • Leading the local team on a daily basis to meet client expectations
  • Being hands on to support the team, including conducting patrols and enforcement work.
  • Assisting in the development and upskilling of the local team
  • Liaising with our clients and partner agencies to ensure KPI’s are achieved
  • Compiling quality assurance, incident and other reports
  • Being available for escalations from the team (including some calls after-hours)

To apply, you must:
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in the security industry, or a related industry (eg police, council enforcement)
  • Ideally have experience managing a team
  • Ideally have client management experience
  • Have highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Lead by example
  • Be computer literate and familiar with MS Office, Excel and Outlook
  • Have a current COA or the ability to gain one
  • Have a full Drivers Licence
  • Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check
  • Valid right to work in NZ
