We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to support and encourage a dedicated Healthcare team. This opportunity can advance your career while providing exceptional care to our residents in their time of need. Reporting to a capable manager, you will support the day to day running of our clinical functions and provide developmental support to our team as we provide high quality care.

Responsibilities

- You will be responsible for the day to day operational guidance and coordination of the nurses and care staff.
- Follow the doctor’s medical instructions and interventions, treatments, medications, and therapies and ensure all instructions and procedures are correctly documented, signed and dated.
- Use a multi-disciplinary approach according to accepted nursing practice and standards to lead and direct the team to ensure positive outcomes for the residents, and the facility
- Ensure proper documentation and accurate recording including progress notes and shift handover.
- Understand the aged care environment, and quality management systems to meet the expectations and requirements of residents and families.

Skills & Experience

- We are looking for a Registered Nurse who holds a valid New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
- Previous experience in aged care would be advantageous.
- It would be ideal if you have received InterRai training.
- You should have experience in clinical assessment and observational skills
- You will need to be able to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and their families.
