As a Registered Nurse, you will become a part of a team of devoted and caring professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional care to our residents. Regardless of whether you prefer full-time or part-time work, you will be guided by a compassionate and understanding manager and will have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with our residents, families, and doctors. You will be responsible for providing support for their daily needs, from clinical care to end-of-life care.


Responsibilities

- Monitor responses to treatment and care plans and coordinate resident care. Establish and maintain effective relationships with residents and families and gain their respect and trust.
- Follow the doctor’s medical instructions and interventions, treatments, medications, and therapies and ensure all instructions and procedures are correctly documented, signed and dated.
- Use a multi-disciplinary approach according to accepted nursing practice and standards to lead and direct the team to ensure positive outcomes for the residents, and the facility
- Ensure proper documentation and accurate recording including progress notes and shift handover.
- Understand the aged care environment, and quality management systems to meet the expectations and requirements of residents and families.

Skills & Experience

- We are looking for a Registered Nurse who holds a valid New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
- Previous experience in aged care would be advantageous.
- It would be ideal if you have received InterRai training.
- You should have experience in clinical assessment and observational skills
- You will need to be able to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and their families.
