This auction is for a proven breeding pair of albino Kribensis, producing 100% Albino fry.

The Albino Kribensis is a Cichlid that has been selectively bred, in its original form it originated from West Africa. They are yellow/pink and white in colour and the females gain a bright purple/red belly during spawning. This is one of the smaller African Cichlids, as such classed as a dwarf Cichlid.

Kribensis are ideally kept in a 150 litre species only tank or larger community aquariums, ideally a breeding pair needs 150 litre to themselves if you wish to produce fry. They are a cave spawning species so plenty of rocks and caves should be provided and they love a planted tank. They can be kept in groups in larger aquariums.

Kribensis should be given varied diet and vegetable-based foods, supplemented with meaty type foods, they love blood worms, but will quite happily chew on a bit of cucumber. Feed with a quality flake food, algae, and other foods designed for African Cichlids, with the odd treat of blood worms.

If you want to try your hand at breeding cichlids its a great fish to start with. If you just want an attractive active pair of fish for your community tank also ideal, they will literally get along with all fish, of the same size or smaller, I have kept them with guppies and Angels... they will breed in a community tank, which is great as every now and then a couple of babies will pop up.

Tank mates: Community fish tolerates all, can be territorial when spawning. Adult size: 7-8cm PH: 6.5-7.5 Temperature: 22 - 26 degrees Celsius 24 is ideal.
