1979 Jaguar XJ6
$22,550
Description
This is the unicorn. 1977 (Registered 1978) Jaguar XJ6 4.2 long wheel base in pristine condition inside and out, absolutely original unrestored condition. Runs and drives faultlessly, owned by two fastidious Jaguar enthusiasts and always garaged. The current owner purchased the vehicle in 1988 and has maintained it to a high level since and run on fully synthetic oil. The vinyl roof is factory and has been treated regularly to maintain condition as have the leather seats. Chrome sculptured wheels which come with the original and a set of brand new hubcaps, near new tyres. The head lining was retrimmed to original specifications. The Auto choke has been replaced with a manual choke as it tends to stay on too long, which probably explains the good health of the engine, full stainless steel exhaust. The original auto choke comes with the car as does spare carpet mats , Haynes manual, 1978 magazine with a review of the model, car cover and some new gaskets. All brake calipers have been replaced and a new alternator fitted, the aircon compressor has new seals but has not been recharged as the car is currently not in regular use. The car is for sale as the owners eye sight has failed. Viewing in Morrinsville, has to be seen to be appreciated.
