A rare and very beautiful cobalt blue spinel and white sapphire flower pendant and chain in 18ct white gold

The chain and pendant are both stamped for 18ct gold

The pendant has 4 rare cobalt blue spinel gemstones pear cut each being 4 x 3 mm and a central white sapphire gemstone of approx 2.5 mm in the flower. There is a minimum total gemstone carat weight of 0.75 carat as estimated in the setting

The blue spinel gemstones are a deep saturated blue with a purple tint in different lights they are amazing natural gemstones and these types of blue spinel are referred to as cobalt blue due to the blue saturation of colour.

The pendant including the bale for the chain measures 16 x 10 mm

The 18ct gold chain is 1 mm wide and 18 inches long

Combined weight is 3.9 grams

A beautiful necklace with stunning natural gemstones. The clasp of the chain has some rhodium missing on a couple of the fastenings which is used in white gold so a small amount of 18ct yellow gold is showing near the clasp, see last picture, quite normal with use but mentioning for accuracy.
