Description
On this majestic Shellac debut from 1994, Steve Albini brought his nervy, vein-popping vocals and sheet-metal guitar sound from previous band Big Black with the addition of Bob Weston’s heavy, rolling bass underpinning the agile, athletic drum attack of Todd Trainer to create a truly monstrous and blistering sound.
I was lucky to see Shellac on their first tour of NZ in 1993 at The Gluepot in Auckland and it was fricken’ insane.
R.I.P Steve Albini…he don’t fear hell….
