Hey mate, whats the reason for sale ? Answer will obviously depend on amp some what but would describe the sound as warm, neutral or lively ? d************0 (14 • 10:22 pm, Fri, 17 May )Hi, I used to own the original 4312 from the 70s and wanted that sound back, but the current version is too good for my old-school taste. Those are neutral and clear tonal quality and the presentation is open and lively. The old version sounded more "tight and dry" (which I liked) and a little bit choosy in terms of the types of music, but the current models are far better in every sense as a modern loudspeaker, allows you to play all sorts of music with super detailed studio monitor quality. stradivari (655 • Friday, 17 May 2024 )Fair enough, the sound you described as your preference is what I’m looking for. Did you find an alternative? d************0 (14 • 9:29 am, Sat, 18 May )Probably 2way studio monitors with compression horn drivers… regards stradivari (655 • Saturday, 18 May 2024 )The Wharfedale Dovedale 3 has that old school sound you looking for. See if you can listen to a pair close to you, they rock. o***********1 (1633 • 7:50 pm, Fri, 24 May )
