This is a gorgeous 100% silk suit in light blue, with a feature band at the waist that goes around the back of the jacket as well. The band is black with off-white and light blue. It was made by NZ designer Miriam Gibson.

I bought this suit brand new 13 years ago in anticipation of my sister's wedding in Europe. I don't remember the exact price, but I would say about $400. I didn't try it on, as I was heavily pregnant at the time. It was a bit ambitious for me to think I'd lose the weight in a few months, but I loved it and took the risk! I got away with wearing the jacket open, and I wore a black top and black skirt.

The skirt fits me now, but the jacket doesn't fit properly because of the boobs, so it's best to move on and sell them together. There are two hooks in the front of the jacket to close it. It still looks great open, so long as the gap isn't too wide.

So, I've never worn the skirt, and I wore the jacket once, and in Europe. Since then, I've had the suit hanging in my wardrobe with a thin plastic cover and a suit cover overtop. It's dryclean-only because it's silk. The lining is acetate.

The skirt may be closer to today's size 10? Lying flat, the waist measures 37cm. The jacket, lying flat and from armpit to armpit, measures 47cm.

It may cost $17 to courier it, but if it's less than that, I'll put the change in the parcel.
