A RARE CHARLOTTE RHEAD H.J WOOD BURSLEYWARE JUG TL3 TRELLIS PATTERN c1940's

This is a L33 shape Jug produced by H.J Wood as part of the Bursleyware range in the TL3 Trellis pattern designed by Charlotte Rhead.

The jug measures 5" from handle to spout and stands 5 1/4" high. It carries the backstamp " Bursleyware, Charlotte Rhead, England" , the impressed shape number L33 and the hand written "TL3" pattern number and the tubeliners monogram for Mrs Walker.

The jug is decorated all around with stylised Flowers in shades of Orange, Green, Yellow Gold backed by Brown and Gold leaves above a Trellis with Gold embellishment. The rim is banded in Gold and the handle painted Brown.

The jug is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration
