A giant creepy painting of a fish.

Swimming out of dripping black paint, a trout or maybe a salmon emerges from the briny depths.

This whopping great painting was found hidden behind some wall panels in my flat when I moved in. Measures 2.4metres long by 1.2metres tall.

Is it haunted? Possibly. Will it haunt your dreams? Definitely.

Unknown artist, the only marking on the back is the word 'Free' in chalk. Probably how the last person felt when they were released from its curse.

But maybe... maybe this is what you've been trawling TradeMe for all along... Yes... You feel yourself drawn in... transfixed by it's pleading eyes... perhaps you could paint this canvas out, release the trout from this torture, and paint some rainbows and smiling kittens overtop instead.

Or perhaps you could embrace it - stare deep into the horror, and be overwhelmed by its foreboding intensity. Ponder, what inspired the tortured artist to paint such a nautical nightmare? Wonder, if it's a really long fish or did the artist just struggle with forced perspective? Contemplate, if is this actually a portal to a Cthulhu-esque netherworld through which this creature may leap into our minds to cause us psychic torment?

Or maybe, like the cursed game of Jumanji, just dump the thing in the sea. Whatever you do, please, free me from this cursed possession.
