This Stunning Turned Vase has been turned out of Ancient Native New Zealand Swamp Kauri The Kauri has been turned from The Root Burl of the mighty Kauri which had been extracted from Peat field and the Swamp Kauri in this area had been Carbon dated at just over 10,000 years old. The Grain has beautiful Figure and Fire which is a unique play of light to the Swamp Kauri. The inside of the vase has been textured to give it the look as an ancient vessel of a lost world. The turning of this piece is an achievement in itself. It Stands at It stands at 350mm(14") tall x 280mm(11')diam and finished with non toxic oil and Beeswax This is a one off unique piece made from a very rare, valuable Timber.
