Respectfully submitted here for your bidding consideration is a Stanley Bailey No5 Jack Plane. It has had very little use and been kept in a drawer for most of its life. The finish did deteriorate somewhat so I have refinished it. The blade is still full length and all parts are original, nothing has been repaired or replaced, just the finish. The blade and chip breaker still retain some of the original lacquer that coated these pieces direct from the factory to stop rusting occurring when the plane was in the warehouse or retail store. This is an excellent example of a number 5 and they don’t turn up in this condition very often..
