Nissan Datsun 1200 Coupe 1972

This is the ‘one owner’ 1200 Coupe that you’ve been looking for.

I purchased the vehicle a few years ago off the daughters of the original owner who drove the car off the dealership in 1972. It was emotional. The car was well loved by their Mum and held many fond memories.

I had high hopes of a full classic refresh and subtle mods to bring 'the Fonz’ into something that could be a daily driver or fully restored into a show piece. Unfortunately, the ole cliché of a newborn baby, a demanding older kid needing a pony* and general lack of time and space has led to this reluctant posting.

I drive it occassionally and it goes well...comes with current WOF and Rego.

Running an A15 with 5 speed.

Original A12 with 4 speed avail.

Rebuilt front steering/ suspension. I have put on larger brakes on the front. Original struts and factory looking hoses though..looks stock. All orig parts avail.

New KYB shocks in the front with lowered (about 1.5-2”) Kings springs. Rear standard.

14” wheels with good offset. New Proxes T1-R 195/55/14 on rear.

Original wheels with 4x hubcaps avail.

Datsun Cherry seats in the front. Standard seats avail.

Interior mint although carpet could be refreshed.

Body has light surface rust (original paint) and some rust in a few spots if you dig deep enough. Inspection recommended. I can take photos of specifics for those that can’t inspect for themselves.

The body has not been messed with, so you know what you’re getting. There is evidence of repairs in the two front doors, otherwise that’s it.

Two new guards will go with the car.
