XV500 Special… Project bike my son was going to fix up, Lost interest and has now been sitting for some time !
We had this bike running about a year ago, but it was a little rough.
Carbs have been rebuilt Front brake calliper rebuilt Fork seals replaced…
Everything was working before the carbs were removed !
Surface corrosion on alloy parts
I do not have the time to finish the bike and just need to make room in the garage.
No WOF Reg on Hold…

Yamaha called it Ü-22"they were only produced in 1983. They were the first Japanese Cruiser in this style. First Yamaha road bike with IYCS carb arrangement First Yamaha road bike with the "mono-shock"First Yamaha with an electric" tachometer. They do not have the later XV motor, it is an earlier and much more solid design, without any of the problems common to the later XV derivatives of this bike. This was the first 'XV'.
