We are looking for a Registered Nurse with prior Aged Care experience to join our supportive team. In this position you can advance your career while providing exceptional care to our residents. This permanent full-time opportunity reports to a friendly and reliable manager. You will assess, plan, and implement nursing care while collaborating with our care staff to establish lasting relationships with our residents, families, and GPs. Support our residents with everyday needs, from clinical care to end-of-life care.
Responsibilities
- Monitor responses to treatment and care plans and coordinate resident care. Establish and maintain effective relationships with residents and families and gain their respect and trust.
- Follow the doctor’s medical instructions and interventions, treatments, medications, and therapies and ensure all instructions and procedures are correctly documented, signed and dated.
- Use a multi-disciplinary approach according to accepted nursing practice and standards to lead and direct the team to ensure positive outcomes for the residents, and the facility
- Ensure proper documentation and accurate recording including progress notes and shift handover.
- Understand the aged care environment, and quality management systems to meet the expectations and requirements of residents and families.
Benefits
- The hourly pay for the job is between $45 to $50, depending on your level of experience.

Skills & Experience
- We are looking for a Registered Nurse who holds a valid New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
- Previous experience in aged care would be advantageous.
- It would be ideal if you have received InterRai training.
- You should have experience in clinical assessment and observational skills
- You will need to be able to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and their families.
