As the Clinical Manager of the facility, you will be responsible for leading and motivating the clinical team to maintain the high standards of care that we provide to our residents. You will ensure that the clinical staff receive adequate orientation and ongoing training to maintain a safe environment for residents following the Health & Disability Sector Standards.

Responsibilities

- As one of our team leads, you will be responsible for providing orientation and self-directed learning packages to new staff members.
- We also need you to design rosters that reflect the optimal utilisation of staffing and resources.
- Ensuring that all new employee documentation and checklists are completed accurately and maintaining a professional database and waiting list while ensuring high levels of consumer contact.
- You will also be responsible for completing reporting requirements and the clinical manager's orientation checklist.
- Ensuring that clinical staff is trained and aware of clinical risks while following proper reporting procedures.

Skills & Experience

- The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of previous aged care experience in a senior position and relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Consitently demonstate empathy for the elderly and their families, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have experience in clinical or management in a continuing care hospital facility, management and administration skills and people skills.
- Exposure to managing budgets and financial accountabilities would be advantageous.
- Hold a current Annual Practising Certificate and New Zealand Nursing Council Registration.
