ZD30 DDTI engine with injector pump ( Mechanic says Piston issue)

Engine has a assumed piston issue not the head at least that's what the mechanic told me, has injector pump on it which was working when it came out. Sitting on pallet out of car at work. Must go complete, not separating not shipping,

The bottom end will need pulling off cause the mechanic I took it to told me that the problem was more than likely a piston problem because it would start and drive when you loaded it with Engine start spray, then would start for rest of the day fine but then the next day would be a issue to start again till loaded with more engine start spray, and when he was testing it while spraying the spray into the air intake pipes it would blow air out rather than suck it in. That's why I spent $4000 on a new engine cause I couldn't be bothered to fix it.
