This vintage circus wagon is hard to put an age on. Many cast iron toys from the U.S. were made over 100 yrs ago where as many others like the popular KENTON TOYS range were made in the 1950s. There are no manufacturers brands on this toy. I bought it from an Antique toy shop in Matamoras Pennsylvania. In fact I purchased a lot of vintage toys from this shop. I would estimate the Lion Wagon to be made in the 1940s to 50s. It is well made so not made in China last week. One sees so many obvious cheap repro cast iron toys that sadly people think are bona fide antiques. The wagon and horses measure 24 cm long. The rear door opens so a suitable toy lion could be put inside. The casting on the sides is quite intricate and overall its an attractive toy that displays well. I bought it in the 1990s and haven't done anyting to it.
