Latest model low cost PWM speed controller for use on small brushed DC motors but,WITHOUT a radio control system. I have sold hundreds of these to meccano modellers throughout NZ and Australia.

BE AWARE that some other sellers sell the low power version of these (rated 3a PEAK by the factory) describing them as 10A. Those ones burn out at under 5A

If you run your model directly from a DC source such as a battery or plug pack then this low cost device is just want you want for speed control Turn the knob to provide a speed control from about 5% to around 99% of the rated speed. The important thing though is that this uses pulse width modulation (PWM ) technology.

THIS MEANS THAT UNLIKE OLDER CONTROLLERS THAT VARY THE VOLTAGE THIS UNIT GIVES ALMOST CONSTANT TORQUE ACROSS THE TOTAL SPEED CONTROL

Take for example the 100 rpm 6V motor I sell. Reducing the voltage down to 2V drops the speed down to about 30rpm but at that speed it has no power and is close to stall. With this device and a 6V supply you can change the speed from about 5 to 100 rpm with no appreciable change in torque.

NOTE THAT REVERSING THE INPUT POLARITY WILL DAMAGE THIS UNIT. Also Like all PWM speed control units these dissipate most heat in the controller at low speed so caution is needed for long duration running at under 30% full speed
