Description
The Czechoslovakian army M60 hood/helmet cover was issued to troops in the 1960s and worn through to the 80's. The 'needles' or 'clouds' pattern looks similar to the East German 'rain' pattern camouflage, however it has a subtle pattern on the background.
Pictured on the Czech M52 Helmet (Almost identical in shape to the Russian SSH40 helmet). This can act as a hood or a helmet cover and was designed to button onto the Czech M60 parka and German parkas of the same era.
Acknowledging the effective performance of the East German Strichtarn "Rain Drop" camouflage pattern in Central Europe, the Czech army adopted this design with a tweak that incorporated a mottled background. This adjustment was aimed at improving the jacket's effectiveness, particularly when countering adversaries equipped with night vision technology.
