Silverthorn Crazy Diamond, aka Jelly, is a bay 12.hh Dartmoor Pony mare. 6 years old. Having lived on a dairy farm and just followed the quad bike around for the 2 years of her ridden life, she doesn’t have heaps of miles on her, but the last year has been a whole new adventure for her!

Jelly is more woah than go and very safe. If she is worried about something she will just stop and not go forward. She adores kids and will follow you around the paddock hoping for attention. Not fazed by much: sheep, noisy vehicles, noisy kids, walks over tarps, up and down steps, floats well, stands for the farrier, good to ride in arena or open spaces, enjoys forest, beach, and farm rides. Happy to go in front or behind. She isn’t afraid of dogs but will chase them out of the paddock.

Jelly has been to a pony club all season, and a couple of inhand shows. She shows potential as a jumper: jumps nicely and is honest, but fairly green at it still. She is very correct and straight moving and will be a great all-rounder who can turn her hoof to anything. Has a gorgeous trot when you get her moving. Her biggest downfalls are: she can be marish towards other horses – a bit squealy and bossy, and she can be boofy on the ground if you are not firm about her remembering her manners.

Not suitable for a total beginner but would be perfect for a competent off-lead little rider who wants to wants to have fun doing a bit of everything, or a family of several children to grow up with her. She has been part of a holiday programme run by a local riding school and was "an absolute gem". She loves to just hang out with you and is interested in everything that's going on.

Being a small chunky pony that runs on the smell of an oily rag, you will need to keep an eye on her weight.
