Abscesses are challenging to treat, particularly when the abscess is walled off or there is a foreign body involved. Likewise puncture wounds can introduce foreign matter and bacteria. How do I give my horse a dose? Hippo 90ml remedies have a small pump for hygienic, simple and accurate dosing. You can pump the drops straight into your horse’s mouth (they will like the taste) or you can pump the drops on to a treat such as a piece of carrot.

How often should I dose my horse? 2 pumps into the mouth, twice a day until drainage is complete. Note: when dealing with a walled off abscess it may take time to establish drainage. Monitor your horse’s health and consult your veterinarian if they are in pain or suffering. This remedy is able to be used alongside veterinary medicines and herbal preparations.
