Yeah mate, that sounds about right. I have loose memories of the great Geoff Allott steaming in wearing a similar strip in the to this in the time period you mention. I didn’t watch any of the 1999 Cricket World Cup for two reasons. The first reason was because Sky had the rights to screen the matches live and unfortunately I was a very poor student back then and couldn’t barely afford food let alone Sky. The second reason was because the tournament was played over in England which meant that the matches were on during the night. Yeah T20 cricket is a bit bombastic isn’t it?! I think that it certainly lacks both substance and also the many subtleties that the other formats of cricket possess.
