Classic Timeless Wedgwood Green Jasper Jardinière We offer today a very collectable classic jardinière from the good old days many moons ago, made by those great artists at Wedgwood in Stoke-on Trent, Staffordshire, in the very heartland of quality china production in England in the early 1900.

Made in that almost unique Wedgwood Jasper design this beauty features in white relief five crisp classical figures (Muses*) around the planter under the superb display of the garland of grape vines which are seemingly anchored behind those stunning lion heads.

This work of art stands some 14 cm tall and measures almost 16 cm across at the top. The base is about 11.5 cm in diameter. It has the inscriptions WEDGWOOD and ENGLAND, and a star or a flower. The reliefs are all good quality and the dip glaze is an attractive shade of green.

We offer this beauty in an antique used condition. It has no obvious cracks, repairs or chips. It still has a good solid PING. It has usage marks very much in line with its age and use as a planter, evidenced by some ancient stains inside, almost adding to its attraction.
