Stunning pair of early 19th century jasperware spill vases by Copeland Potteries Ltd.
In the well-known style of Wedgwood jasperware, the clour more olive than the sage of Wedgwood.
These have rows of white four-petal flowers around the rim and matchingclassical dramatic scenes below, also in white applied ceramic.
The scene is that of the Greek Muses of Tragedy & Comedy, Melpomene & Thalia.
Lovely pieces, extremely attractive and display brilliantly.
Base markings are hand incised numerals, 3029
Manfactured: 1930
110 mm tall x 67 mm at widest.
No damage, chips, cracks or repairs.
