Great Vintage “Danish Blue” Mix – Royal Copenhagen Group, Denmark

We offer today a very collectable mix of blue vintage trinket dishes or mini wall plates, made in Copenhagen in the good old days, now here for your collection.

As shown, one of the mini plates features the world-famous Little Mermaid statue. Easily recognised, and no collection is complete without her. This dish measures just over 8 cm across, like all the others here on offer.

The plate next to her displays the Kronborg Castle (Slot) in the town of  Helsingør, immortalized  in William Shakespeare's play Hamlet and others. Underneath is a plate with a huge anchor which is located at the base of the Nyhavn Canal, commemorating sailors who lost their lives at sea during the Second World War.

And last not least the fourth plate shows that huge fountain which is located in the harbour front of Copenhagen. It features a large-scale group of oxen pulling a plough and being driven by the Norse goddess Gefjon.

Interesting indeed and so collectable.

We offer these beauties in a used vintage condition, as shown. No chips, cracks or repairs, but some interesting under-glaze crazing, just adding to their attraction.
