These Flower Fairy plates are based on the work of artist and writer Cicely May Barker (born 1895). Cicely Barker's Flower Fairy Books were published in 1923 -- beloved by generations of readers. Cicely created each Flower Fairy character and wrote lovely verse describing the flower or tree. Villeroy and Boch's Heinrich Porcellan (Germany) created each Flower Fairy fine porcelain plate from highest quality pure white clay, and based on Cicely Barker's characters. Every plate has a certificate of authenticity, confirming its provenance. Original boxes included (boxes showing some signs of wear & tear).
