This auction is for a lovely rare vintage Alfred Meakin Cascadia coffeepot/teapot and four demitasses c1930s.

*Absolutely beautiful vintage set, with no chips but lots of crazing as per age. This is in good vintage condition, often hard to find a set like this. Beautiful sprays of orange, purple and blue flowers on a cream background. *On bottom Alfred Meakin stamp, England. *Approx measurements: Saucer 12cm. cups 6.5cm diameter x 6cm high, coffeepot/teapot without lid 16cm to top of handle, opening 6.5cm, measurement across spout to handle, 21cm. Height of lid approx 5.5cm. *The Cascadia pattern was released by Alfred Meakin, Tunstall during the 1930s and displays a lovely bright multi-coloured floral pattern with an embossed detail on a 18ct gold trimmed scalloped rim. Although this pattern (not the design) was discontinued by Alfred Meakin during the 1940s it was one of the patterns which became part of the Churchill Group in 1976. Alfred Meakin operated from 1875 at the Royal Albert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries in Tunstall. *Stand not included. *Please excuse any reflections from the light when taking photos - sometimes in photos there will be white spots which are not part of the china. Please remember when buying vintage items that they may have flaws. They are often one-off items we'll never see again and that's what makes them so special.
