Description
Philips EL 6031/50 "Tulip" Dynamic Microphones Pair (1950s/early 1960s)
Made in Holland, these two were part of a PA system so i'm guessing were used as lectern mics. Various dates place them late 1950s to mid 1960s.
Selling as a pair, although they are currently both assigned as 'Lefts' the base of the microphone cut out where the L is seen has a corresponding 'Right' under the plate on the other side meaning one could be reconfigured to make a Left and Right pair.
They come minus their stands, paint damage to one around the grille, there looks to be tape residue on the shaft of the second. Other than that they are in remarkable condition for their age and the bendiness/flexibility of they shafts is like brand new.
The output connectors are female XLRs so i'm not able to measure them beyond multimeter testing to the pins. This suggests one is good and one isn't.
Pick up available from Sandringham in Auckland or delivery can be arranged and thanks very much for looking :)
