A = Mint or BNEW; music is good from start to end, the sound is clear B = Sound has some variation in a couple of playing positions. C = More sound variations but still listenable. D = Sound is not so clear and/or incomplete

If the felt pressure pad that contacts the magnetic tape is considerably old or beaten up, I replace it with a new one. If the tape is tight or there is excessive squeaking sound, I replace the capstan rollers. I grade each and every specific tape for your reference.
