Selling on behalf. We have a very special numbered book up for sale, 514 out of only 2000 copies. This book is as new, never been read. "PROBABLY THE BEST BEATLES-RELATED VOLUME EVER": SIGNED LIMITED FIRST EDITION OF FIFTY YEARS ADRIFT, THE LUSHLY ILLUSTRATED, GEORGE HARRISON-EDITED AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF BEATLES PUBLICIST DEREK TAYLOR, ONLY OF 2000 COPIES SIGNED BY TAYLOR, EX-BONZO DOG MEMBER LARRY SMITH, AND GEORGE HARRISON
(HARRISON, George) TAYLOR, Derek. Fifty Years Adrift. Surrey, England: Genesis, (1984). Large octavo, original pictorial three-quarter brown calf gilt, raised bands, burgundy morocco spine label, photographic endpapers, all edges gilt, original cardboard slipcase.
Signed limited first (and only) edition of Derek Taylor's vibrant autobiography, number 514 of 2000 copies signed by Taylor and filled with color illustrations, photographs, and facsimiles of memorabilia from Taylor's early career as a journalist and later experiences as publicist for the Beatles, signed in pencil by endpaper designer and ex-Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band member Larry Smith, and edited, annotated, and with a foreword by George Harrison signed by him, in beautiful publisher's binding.
Fifty Years Adrift "is an impressively weighty tome, beautifully bound in calf leather with gilt-edge pages, and it includes many previously unpublished pictures, full-color reproductions of concert tickets, stage passes, letters, postcards and the like, and more than 500 pages of text. Also included are some 15,000 words of margin notes by George Harrison, who expands on certain tales from the band's point of view and is said to have personally edited the manuscript. The inevitable question concerning such an artifact is simply this: Is it worth the price?… [F]or the dedicated Beatles fan with ample discretionary income, the answer is a resounding yes" (New York Times). "Probably the best Beatles-related volume ever" (The Beatles Book Monthly).

Hiya - just checking in re condition. It looks like there’s some fixing on the title paper on front box? Also some white spots - just checking if these are mould or if there’s any evidence of damp/ mould ? I have one which has a touch of the same and trying to see if this is better than mine. Woukd if be possible to see close up pics of these areas to assess? Thanks f*****n (886 • 10:58 am, Sat, 18 May )Hi, thanks for your question. I have added 3 photos for you. There are some very small marks within the gold, and on the front of the box, see photos I added. Not sure what they are from, Im guessing from age.I can not see any signs of dampness or mould, the pages are very firm and free ( not sticking together). Thanks stoneman14 (431 • Saturday, 18 May 2024 )
