Famed Denby Stoneware (English) lidded casserole dish, part of the well loved "Greenwheat" set. This dish has a mid-century, very retro design, and is in almost mint condition (one tiny chip and no crazing to the glaze). It has hardly been used. The body of the dish has a lovely, smooth matt finish and in contrast the lid is glazed with a bright glossy finish. I have cooked with Denbyware a lot and have found it always creates a rich, full-bodied and sticky brown-edged casserole. Very yummy. It's of small to medium size and probably makes 4-5 servings.
