Description
A TIME WASTER NEVER CONTACTED OR PAID SO RELISTING, This Triumphonic Class A Tuba was made in England probably around 1920 by the Salvation Army ,it has some wear but looks in working condition except it is missing the mouth piece so i cant try it, These were usually Silver plated but i couldn't find any markings but it looks like Brass under the silver as in the pictures. This would be great for display in Bar, Club, man cave, or just at home on the wall. It has the salvation Army's logo engraved on the front with all the information to do some research, this one was probably made around the 1920-30s These tubas were meticulously decorated using a special technique. Two steel rollers—one smooth on the inside of the brass tube and the other adorned on the outside—were pressed together with force. As a result, intricate patterns appeared on the exterior of the brass tube1. Specifications: The Salvation Army Triumphonic Tuba is an EEb (E-flat) tuba with 3 valves. It features a compensating system, which enhances intonation and allows for better tuning. The valves and slides are free-moving, ensuring ease of play. Despite its compact size, this tuba produces a balanced sound and offers good intonation. The Triumphonic Tuba was designed for Salvation Army bands and musicians, making it a cherished instrument within that community23.The Salvation Army had its own brass instrument factory called The Campfield Musical Instrument Works in London, where they produced these instruments. The Triumphonic line continued until the factory’s closure in 1972.
