Description
Fabulous find - a beautiful 19th century brass bound Military chest of good proportion. Lovely patina and superb original authentic brass hardware. Campaign chests were originally used by the British Army Offices during the 18th century. They were designed to be packed and carried on the march or on horseback so they needed to supremely practical and durable thus the brass corners. They also had to be stylish and elegant in keeping with their owners high society positions. This is the best example I have seen in my 45yrs in business. Measurements - 1060w x 1020h x 480d. This purchase will become a precious heirloom for future family generations
