The uptone is sold but regardless the ddc. It reclocks the data giving more detail. If your DAC has i2s input thats the best but spdif is still a great update in sound darrelbirchall (79) • Friday, 17 May 2024

Have the Matrix and Topping DDC and use I2S into an Audiobyte VOX DAC. My source is server/streamer Antipodes EX fed from a good switch with a SOtM Ethernet cable. My I2S cable is Tubulus Argentus.
