Description

You are bidding on a pair of uber high-end Swiss made Monoblock power amplifiers. Regarded as some of the highest quality made audio gear, these monoblocks pack a punch at 200w per channel in a very compact size. I bought these from the original owner who took great care of them. They all work fantastically and were very expensive when bought brand new from Sydney. These units are quite rare and are extremely high-end, which is why they don’t come up for sale (especially in New Zealand). Please ask any questions before bidding!

Questions & Answers (12)

  • Check your numbers... They suggest very poor quality. 10Hz to 1000kHz ?? That's about half the audible frequencies for humans - Did you mean 10,000kHz ? You'd still be missing another 10,00kHz... 20Hz to 20,000kHz is standard. I would expect these to be <10Hz to >30,000kHz. c***z (492)9:43 am, Tue, 21 May Hi, these are not the aliexpress replicas. Those ones have those specs :) Hope this helps. Cheers audio-engine (219) • Tuesday, 21 May 2024
  • Not at all... Post the actual spec if it differs from the "Ali' specification. c***z (492)9:49 am, Tue, 21 May Hah yeah I just noticed that. Well I'm happy for you to come hear them if your concerned with the sound quality? Let me know either way if you'd like to :) audio-engine (219) • Tuesday, 21 May 2024
  • The hertz rating are I line with other high end stereo amplifiers on the market. Seller comment Tuesday, 21 May 2024
  • Their quality was never in question - your ability to state the correct specs are still lacking… So to be clear - the issue is you. c***z (492)10:22 am, Tue, 21 May Hi I took these specs from the internet. Have a look yourself. Regards audio-engine (219) • Tuesday, 21 May 2024
  • Website link to sepcifications: https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/goldmund/srm250.shtml Seller comment Tuesday, 21 May 2024
  • In response to the initial question… Goldmund disclose their frequency response in a different way to the norm… the following is from the SRM250 manual: FREQUENCY RESPONSE These figures are valid for the circuit alone, at any level between 0 and nominal power. • +/- 0.1 dB, 10 Hz - 1 MHz. • +/- 1 dB, 6 Hz - 1.2 MHz. • +/- 3 dB, 3 Hz - 1.4 MHz j******e (1435)11:02 am, Tue, 21 May Thanks for that! Cheers audio-engine (219) • Tuesday, 21 May 2024
  • Actually, most of the commentary about frequency response above is incorrect. Goldmund specify as per normal, and the Vendor has it correct 10 Hz to 1000kHz - normal 'audio' range is 20 Hz to 20kHz. Crtnz appears to have missed that 1,000kHZ is 1 MHz i.e. 50 times the normal audio range not half. c*********l (247)7:46 am, Wed, 22 May Thanks Bill audio-engine (219) • Wednesday, 22 May 2024
  • How much is the reserve? Thanks p**********h (18)6:55 pm, Fri, 24 May $3000 audio-engine (219) • Friday, 24 May 2024
  • crtnz is woefully uninformed. "K" means 1000 so the quoted range of 10hz to 1000khz translates as 10hz to 1000 x 1000 hz which as coastalbill says is 1mhz which is plenty high enough. The seller is correct. p*****c (273)12:16 pm, Sun, 26 May Cheers audio-engine (219) • Sunday, 26 May 2024
  • Hi, are these are matched pair ? I see switches for R/L and ANA/DIG on one amp but not the other ? g*******d (506)3:42 pm, Sun, 26 May Hi there, yes they are a matched pair. I just didn't take really good photos of the backs for both. Both monos are exactly the same and are identical. All the switches and buttons are the exact same for both :) I hope this helps, thanks. audio-engine (219) • Sunday, 26 May 2024
  • Thanks g*******d (506)4:01 pm, Sun, 26 May No worries thanks for the questions, let me know if you have anymore :) audio-engine (219) • Sunday, 26 May 2024
  • Hi is that unlabeled connection by the digital and analog switch and trigger to remotely turn on thanks g*****s (289)3:51 am, Mon, 27 May Hi there, thanks for the question. That single rca connection is an RCA analogue connection, that is used to connect the mono block to the preamp. The in and out rca connectors are digital connections used to connect a goldmund universal preamplifier to it via a linear digital cable (according to the manual). With the right information, you most likely don't need an official goldmund pre to use its digital capabilities. Hope this helps :) cheers audio-engine (219) • Monday, 27 May 2024
