Description

Extremely rare, even more so now it's been thoroughly overhauled. My instructions to the technician, "do whatever needs to be done, cost no object." Scope of work done:

All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced, this includes main power supply and bias supply, cathode bypass and screen supply out of spec resistors have been replaced. Grid coupling caps replaced. Switches and pots cleaned. Bias set to factory setting. Transformer installation tested. Cap brands are: Epcos. Nichicon. Vishay & JJ. All slightly higher voltage rating to improve longevity.

So enough with all the technical stuff, what does it sound like: Tried on various speakers, Sonus Faber Sonnetto 2, Wharfedale Dovedale 3 and Mark & Daniel Maximus Ruby. The Pioneer acquitted itself well, bringing a natural warmth and airiness combined with pin point placement of instruments on the wide soundstage.

It's one of those items I would love to keep, however space constraints dictate I sell alot of equipment.

The person who buys this will not be disappointed.
