Seven Australian opal rough cuts already showing some opal colours. The long opal pictured below the coin has some nice green opal colour that hasn't been captured by my mediocre photography. Size-wise they measure (in length): 3 x 11mm, 14mm, 2 x 18mm and 23mm. They would decrease in size after being cut and shaped and polished. Practice your lapidary skills on them or add them to your collection! These natural, untreated opals are from a Jeweller's estate. He sourced all his opals direct from the opal fields of Australia predominantly in the 1970s-1980s, and supplied in-trade customers around New Zealand. See my other listings for more delightful opals.
