This book is a description of the life of a Chinook salmon. From the egg! It is a fascinating journey that this book takes you on. You become the salmon and can feel all the joys and sorrows on its journey from the river to the sea and its, Return to the River. Haig-brown has the "gift of the gab" and the experience and knowledge to impart the story as well as anyone could. Put time aside to read this as you wont want to stop once you start the journey. It is a large book 22cm x 29 cms. This is a special edition and has a forward by Earnest Schwiebert. There are also several prints through the book (see pics) which would make great framed displays but then you wont want to remove them once you have read the book. Book condition is very good and all prints are present. A large jumping Chinook Salmon is on the front board of the book.
