This does have the barrier teeth marks like most used cots but I've now learnt there are protective plastics and covers you can use to cover them ( wish I knew that before). It has a sticker mark and other marks that can all come off with a wash. ( Didn't have time before I moved to clean it up)

The mattress is like brand new it's always had a protective layer on. comes with some sheets and mattress covers
