Description

** Sterling 925 Christening Mug - For "EUPHEMIA 1867" **

Beautiful mug probably a christening mug. Virtually unmarked except for a few marks on the base edge. Has nice hallmarks for London 1866 and the engraving says 1867. Makers are George John Richards and Edward Charles Brown. Very clean on the inside like it has had no use.

" EUPHEMIA " the name is a girl's name of Greek origin, meaning “well-spoken” or “to use words of good omen,” and is a declaration of pure delight over baby.

It's one of the favourite things i'm selling.

Height 73 mm. Width - Base 63 mm - Top 60 mm. Weight 111.9 grams.
