Description
ANY REASONABLE OFFER CONSIDERED
These absolutely stunning, handmade copper goblets are indescribable. The workmanship that has gone into each and every one makes the price seem too cheap!
Used in Iran to celebrate ‘Nowruz’ - Persian New Year and the first day of spring. Originating more than 3,000 years ago, the 13-day festival symbolizes renewal and harmony with nature. It begins at the exact moment of the Northern Hemisphere's vernal equinox, typically between March 19 and 22 each year.
A Khatam Nowruz Haftsin Set is a decoration set for a Haft-sin table, which is a traditional table setting for Persian New Year, or Nowruz. The Haft-sin table displays seven symbolic items that start with the letter "sin" in Persian, and each item represents spring and renewal. The seven items are:
- Sabzeh: Sprouts
- Samunu: Wheat germ pudding
- Senjed: Oleaster
- Serkeh: Vinegar
- Seeb: Apple, representing beauty
- Somagh: Sumac
- Seer: Garlic, representing good health
To back up my asking price and what was spent on this set, check them out on Etsy - these are HANDMADE using only the finest Iranian Copper.
Buyer is welcome to view items before purchasing or I am happy for buyer to collect or for me to wrap carefully and send at your risk and expense.
