This is an iconic European porcelain vintage dinner set from the 1970s. It was made in Spain by Alfar Etrusco in the' Acanthus' pattern as part of their Pontesa range. This caramel-brown ironstone has a drip glaze on octagonal-shaped plates with a frame pattern.

The Full Set comprises 16 pieces (a full set when new): 4 x teacups (8.5d x 6cm h) 4 x small plates (17cm d) 4 x medium plates (21cm d) 4 x large diner plates (26cm d)

The set, over 50 years old, has some nibbles - one cup has a few chips mended in gold (faded now), another cup has a chip, and a couple of plates also have chips. See the images - I have adjusted the price for this. The plates are excellent overall, but the cups have more chips.

No crazing, cracks or hairlines. These are a favourite on Etsy and other vintage platforms.
