A superb and rare to find late 1960’s/70’s Danish Modern extendable dining table from Gangso Mobler, Denmark, featuring beautifully streamlined drop leaf extensions that can hang or lift away, with earthy abstract hand painted ceramic Art tiles inlaid to the top, designed by Poul Hermann Poulsen, beautifully complemented by rich warm Oak.

A stunning visual ensemble of Ceramic Art and strident wood grains that easily transforms to an impressive 8 seater table offering a sturdy heat proof central serving surface.

With characteristic top quality Danish construction, this is an extremely solidly built table and sits on a clean lined refectory style base with an Allen key system to easily detach the top for ease of transport.

Now beautifully restored to its former glory, this has been stripped of its old dulled surface and refinished with a French Polish process to once again really showcase the rich Honey and Tobacco toned Oak leaving it in near showroom new condition.

The Poul Hermann Poulsen tiles are likewise in excellent unscathed, undamaged, sound condition and are signed by the Artist.

The two fold out or lift off leaves extend this from 1630 mm long to 2430 mm in length, to easily accommodate seating for 8 as can be seen in the additional photos.

Note : the Oak wood tones are showing up brighter in the outdoors photography, definitely richer when seen in the flesh in normal indoor lighting conditions, and colour wise a great match with Teak.

These very special Dining Tables command prices upwards of $3000 on the international market, and we have personally never seen another for sale on the New Zealand market.
